The study consists two sections: The first section discusses waterand its effect on settlements andits link to water resources fromthe first agricultural villages to thecity.

The study discusses theeffect of water on buildingmaterials and its selection ofbuilding materials and itsresistance to environmentalfactors including water factorimpact on architecture, and thearchitecture designs invented bypeople of Mesopotamia.

Thesecond section tackles the impactof rain and floods onarchaeological buildings and howto deal with the problem ofsalinity and humidity.
