English Abstract

A proposed counseling program based on behavioral theory to reduce the phenomenon of extremism among university students.

The extremism of some young people in their opinions, ideas and attitudes towards some social, political and religious issues is a social phenomenon that occupies its position in society as it was associated with violence and terrorism after some extremists resorted to asserting their presence through aggression against innocent people, sabotage of property, and collision.

With the authorities and destabilizing security in society, and where the extension programs have shown their importance in helping the individual to bring about changes in his personal and social environment, which leads to reducing the problems that the individual suffers, according to scientific and technical methods that work to develop his tendencies, trends and compatibility with his environment.

The current research aims to build a proposed indicative program to mitigate the phenomenon of extremism among ]'.

university students, and to achieve this goal, a sample consisting of (60) university students was selected and the scale (Titan, 2017) was adopted.

Behavioral according to the scope of the scale and it consists of 12 counseling sessions, and the truth is extracted by presenting it to a group of arbitrators.
