Abstract EN

The current research aims to discuss the phenomenon of scientific plagiarism through an analytical theoretical study that deals with the manifestations of the process of plagiarism and scientific theft and the most important reasons that lead to it and the most important reasons that support its presence in the scientific community.

To it, acts of transfer and quotation without following the sound and scientific recognized rules of transfer and quotation, whether intentionally or unintentionally, are considered acts of scientific theft that are criminalized by law and rejected by the scientific research community, and that one of the most important reasons for the spread of the phenomenon of scientific theft in academic circles is the weak cultural, scientific, moral and religious level.

According to some researchers, and what contributed to the spread of the phenomenon as well and facilitated by the great technological development, which made available a large number of sources and literature in an electronic form with which it is easy to copy and paste, and software for detecting theft and scientific plagiarism is one of the most important tools for controlling theft and plagiarism operations, although it faces many challenges and problems.

It is also recommended by the current research that universities should intensify training programs directed to young researchers on the foundations and rules of transfer and citation, and that Egyptian universities seek to launch programs to measure the citation rate that are in Arabic formulation and rely mainly on the Arabic language.
