Abstract EN

The human rights are among the most important things that the Islamic religion urged to respect, so it is not permissible to violate, since neglecting or missing them lead to devastating consequences and woes not only for the individual but for communities in general.

The best of those who demonstrated, clarified, explained and encouraged human rights are the prophet Muhammad and his family after the previous prophets and messengers (peace be upon all of them) according to the divine laws revealed to them by Almighty God through revelation.

In this research, I shed light on the rights provided by Islam and mentioned by Imam Zain al-Abidin (PBUH) in his letter of rights in comparison with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) to study the similarities between them, as well as to show the comprehensiveness of the Imam's commandments in human rights compared to the positive laws (human-made laws) that the UN sought to apply on the ground.
