Abstract EN

This article aims to highlight the role of translation through interpretation theory in teaching foreign languages.

Many theorists and linguists have tried to blur the impact of translation in the process of teaching foreign languages, showing its shortcomings and ignoring its advantages, but this latter has improved its role and efficiency especially after being adopted by cognitive psychology, and the appearance of the interpretative theory of translation which has helped to highlight its primordial role in teaching and learning of foreign languages, based on reason, logic, psychology and philosophy, in order to develop the didactic process and increase the teacher's level of performance, limit the learner's time and effort and extend his or her ability of perception and understanding.
