Abstract EN

This research aims to reveal one of the most important problems facing the terminological translation, specifically the problem of transferring affixes to Arabic.

We try to show if translation can really transfer of the concept of the foreign term to Arabic.

More importantly, we try to know whether the proposed methods for translating these affixes have been succeeded in transferring the correct concept of the foreign term to Arabic.

Finally, we will arrive at a set of results, the most important of which are: The problem of translating prefixes and suffixes into Arabic is one of the most important problems defined by scientific translation, as these affixes are part of the terms.

Although the affix is a part of the term, it is not possible to translate the term based on a specific translation method.

Translation by formula or morphological derives, for example, may completely change the meaning of the term, given that these formulas carry certain meanings that may not be compatible with all terms.
