Abstract EN

The current study deals with European policies in the Mediterranean.

It focuses on discussing the key aims and essential tools of the French, Italian and American presence there.

In addition, it deals with the effects of the west developing strategy in the Mediterranean.

At the same time, the study considers Turkey's effective policies in the Eastern Mediterranean, considering it plays the main actor role in regional balances and balance strategies.

The study believes that what affects the success or stability of the Western actor’s policies is not only harmony and coordination among them.

The most critical factor in defining the limits of the strategies of Western actors is the ability of Turkey and its means to transform and balance these policies.
