Abstract EN

Al-Sahib ibn Abbad is one of the most prominent literary figures of the fourth Hijri (Islamic) century.

and many of his contemporaries witnessed that he was the only one of his era in rhetoric, eloquence and poetry.

His poems and letters indicate that he was a marvel of his time and that he was the most f0rtunate in terms of understanding accuracy and speech ingenuity.

The Holy Qur'an studies were among the educations in which Al-Sahib ibn Abbad featured, as his relationship with the Holy Qur'an and its studies is evident in his activities, his books and works were filled with some of his views on matters of interpretation and its fundamentals and he quoted many Qur'anic verses, some of which have similarities, and others require interpretation, as Al-Sahib had arecover knowledge of their meanings and conceptions, and was familiar with the vaious accounts and sayings relevant to them.

This study came to seek the Qur'anic trace in the letters of Al-Sahib ibn Abbad by identifying his use of the Qur'anic verses with their words, expressions and forms in them, and his clarifying for the forms by which the sacred verses were represented in those letters which were distributed as: direct representations, in which ibn Abbad tends to quote the Qur'anic text entirety without changing or altering them, and indirect representations, reflected in rewording the Qur'anic text to a new formulation and dissolve it into a new linguistic context in which the metaphoric rhetorical techniques with which Al Sahib is known take shape.
