The study aims to:- 1.

Measuring the appearance schematic for the university students.

2.

Measuring the social anxiety for the university students.

3.

Recognizing the relationship between the appearance schemata and the social anxiety.

As for the theoretical from work of the study, the researcher discusses, the resorts to Cash theory of the appearance schemata, and Buss theory to discusses the concept of the social anaxiety To achieve the objectives of the present study ,the researcher has build a scale for the appearance schematic comprising (20) items , the outcome of Riability for the test – re test was (0,75) and for Alfa – Cronbach factor was (0,85), On the other hand for the social anxiety scale ,the researcher has adopted the Abeed-Alamer scale (2008) , which include 55 items , the two scaleshave been applied on the sample of 442 (university students) of the university of Technology 2017/2018.

-:The findings are There is the appearance schematic among the university students.

There is a social anxiety among the university students.

There is appositive relationship between the appearance schematic and the social anxiety.

The researcher comes up recommendations and proposes the suggestions.
