Abstract EN

The study aimed at identifying; the teacher's role, pupils' psychological problems, the curriculum and the adopted teaching methods in 8th class pupils' academic achievement.

The study used the descriptive analytical approach، the questionnaire was used to collect the data of study from the population of the study which consisting of (80) male and female teachers who teach mathematics to 8th class at Khartoum Locality, Central Administrative Unit.

A sample of (24) teachers was selected randomly.

The study revealed several findings.

The most important are: Subject teacher has an effective role on mathematics achievement.

Psychological problems affect pupils' academic achievement.

The curriculum is appropriate to pupils' mental level.

The teaching method is sufficient for pupils to understand and draw their attention.

According to the findings، the study recommended the following: The teacher should be qualified sufficiently to teach mathematics.

Good psychological environment should be provided for pupils.

The Curriculum should match pupils' mental abilities.

Teachers must use modern teaching methods should be adopted.
