The study aimed to know the effect of cooperative learning strategy on achieving reading comprehension for fifth grade students in the basic education stage.
The target group in the study was the fifth grade students in the basic education stage.
Experimental achievement test.
The researcher followed the experimental method, the descriptive approach, and the achievement test (pre and post) as a tool for collecting information, then analyzing the data using the statistical program (SPSS).
The study showed the following results.
There are no statistically significant differences when the significance level is less than (0.05) and the probability value (0.00) between the control group scores and the experimental group scores in the pre-test indicating parity, There are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance less than (0.05) and the probability value (0.00) between the degrees of the control group in the pre-test and the degrees of the control group in the post test, which indicates the non-influence of any other factors There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance less than (0.05) and a probability value (0.00) between the experimental group scores in the pre-test and the experimental group scores in the post-test for the benefit of the experimental group in the post-test which indicates the positive effect of using the developed teaching unit according to the use of a strategy Cooperative learning in reading comprehension for the fifth grade of basic education,There are statistically significant differences when the level of significance is less than (0.05) and the probability value (0.00) between the control group scores and the experimental group scores in the post test is in favor of the experimental group.
