Population policies in Kingdom have evolved over time from pro-encouraging policies to increase the population to opposition policies, as it put in its future vision (population dimensions in Vision 2030) reducing population growth at the top of its priorities because it constitutes an impediment to development.

As the annual growth rate reached (6.4%) during the period (1962-1974), then it declined to (5.3%) 1992, then (5.2%) in 2004, then it became (2.6%) in 2018, this decline is due to the decline in the desire of the family Saudi Arabia is giving birth to a large number of children due to economic and social factors, and the increased participation of Saudi women in the labor market.

The research aims to study population characteristics in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, clarify and explain the population policy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its development and fields, and know its trends and extent of effectiveness through its impact on fertility rates, birth rates and death rates.

The research found that there is a direct relationship between the rates of using family planning methods and the level of women's education, as we find that the lowest rates of use of family planning methods were recorded among illiterate and women who read and write, while the highest percentage was recorded among women who hold a doctorate degree.

The research also found that there was a decline in the total fertility rates, which was accompanied by a clear decline in the crude birth rates, and this decline is due to economic, social and cultural changes in the conditions of the population, especially females.
