The Polyphonic Novel (Multiple sounds) recently occupied a distinguished place in modern literature, as the Russian critic Mikhail Bakhtin treated it in his various researches and revealed its aesthetics and style, and enriched the novelistic criticism many concepts, such as: the unfinished personality, the dialogue, and the multiplicity of ideological visions ...

etc.

The Polyphonic novel contains in its folds various elements for its construction and one of its most important features is the acoustic multiplicity that occurs between the novel characters.

This research intends to study the Polyphonic or Multiple sounds in the novel "al-las wal-kelab" by the novelist Naguib Mahfouz in base of the idea of Michail Bakhtin to find out how the novelist uses it for this type of narration.

Through the use of Bakhtin's narrative theory, the novelist Najib Mahfouz tried to reflect a realistic social issue in a period of his life when he was exposed to the types of disappointments and therefore we must address this narration in our current research to focus on the multiplicity of voices in which it was represented in order to learn the idea of the characters, their positions and their emotions.

After delving deeper into the narrative text, we concluded that the Polyphonic in this novel were represented in various forms and techniques.
