Women and men constitute the first link in social construction, starting with the formation of the family, through the exchange of roles and the integration of performance for the advancement and development of society.

A man has an effect and functions in society, and the same applies to women as they represent half of society, as they are a participant to men in all fields of life, and are characterized by tasks and functions, perhaps, that men cannot match them.

The entire world is also witnessing a multi-link and multifaceted race aimed at excelling in the area of increasing productivity in various sectors, especially economic ones.

Success in this matter depends on the availability of many ingredients, the most important of which is the qualified and sufficiently trained human element.

No two disagree that the contribution of the female component, in different ages, social, economic and intellectual groups, can play an effective role in contributing to the success of the race circles in which societies enter among themselves.

Based on the foregoing, the role of women in work is considered a necessity, as it depends not only on contributing to economic productivity, but also reaches the contribution to human investment by preparing, guiding, following up and evaluating it to produce an effective and healthy generation in society.

The interest of women has increased by societies, international bodies, institutions and sociologists in the past decades.

Academic discussions and conferences took place regarding activating the role of women and improving their status, and the programs and plans that qualify and develop them varied, and solutions and proposals abounded of the many obstacles facing them.

However, this role depends on several things, including: the willingness of women to contribute and its quality, in addition to the availability of capabilities and skills that qualify women as well to contribute to the advancement of society, the facilities provided by society (society’s acceptance of women’s work and the provision of work opportunities) and the social values of (customs and traditions) ) That create the right atmosphere for a woman to work.

After the end of World War II, the issue of women's rights was raised widely, as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Universal Declaration on the Elimination of Violence against Women (1993) affirmed that women enjoy equality with men in social, economic and cultural rights.

The decisions of the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing (1995) clearly stated that concrete measures must be taken to achieve equal opportunities in public life.
