Abstract EN

The study aimed to examine the impact of business ethics on perceived social responsibility.

The study was based on the theory of cause and outcome, and previous studies in building its model, besides using the descriptive and analytical method.

The study population was consisted of a sample of companies operating in the field of petroleum, targeting the middle and lower departments’ managers in these companies9 Greater Nile Petroleum, Petrodar Petroleum Company, and Petro energy company, whose number amounted to (714), where a non-probability sample of (250) employees was selected, and questionnaires were distributed to them, (245) questionnaires were retrieved achieving a response rate of % 98.

To analyze the data and to test the hypotheses, methods of descriptive and analytical statistics appropriate to this study were used, as well as using analytical statistical methods (factor analysis, Pearson correlation, and Amos 22 path analysis) through the use of the Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS 21) program.

The study reached a number of results, among them: the existence of a positive relationship between work ethics and perceived social responsibility.

The study recommended a number of recommendations including: Petroleum companies should adopt the concept of work ethics and the concept of perceived social responsibility to maximize their benefit from these concepts in achieving their goals.
