Abstract EN

The purpose of this research is to study the Sheikhs of Imam al-Bukhari who were criticized, but he stated their biographies in his book " al-Tarikh al-kabir", and narrated about them in his book "al-Jami' al-Saheeh" one narration, and then to study these narrations.

The research used some of methods which are: inductive approach, and deductive approach, and analytical approach.

The study found several results, the most important of which are: The number of sheikhs of Imam al-Bukhari who were characterized with the previous were five narrators, so Imam al-Bukhari selected some of their narrations, after sitting with them and knowing their characteristics and the details of their life.

Consequently, he conveyed a little bit of narrations.

The research emphasized the relationship between al-Bukhari's books – " al-Tarikh al-kabir" and "al-Jami' al-Saheeh".

The research shows the necessity to depend on the book " al-Tarikh al-kabir" to understand the methodology of Imam al-Bukhari in his book "al-Jami' al-Saheeh", and solve its problems, and clarify the ambiguity.

And the best way to clarify the author methods is the author himself in his work.
