أثر استخدام استراتيجية في تحسين مهارات (PQ4R)‎ دراسة التاريخ لدى طلبة الصف الثامن الأساسي

Abstract EN

The aim of the study was to examine the effect of using (PQ4R) strategy on improving history study skills of eighth grade students at Ain Al Basha Educational Directorate in Jordan.

The sample of the study consisted of (50) students assigned randomly into two equal study groups: the first was experimental (n=25) and was taught using (PQ4R) strategy, and control (n=25) and taught using traditional teaching.

To achieve the objectives of the study, history study skills test was used in addition to designing the first unit of eighth grade history textbook ( Abbasid State and Mogul Invasion) based on (PQ4R) strategy.

The results of the study showed statistically significant differences between the means scores of eighth grade students on the history study skills posttest results, in favor of the experimental group, which indicates the effectiveness of the (PQ4R) strategy.

The follow- up results also indicated statistically significant differences in history study skills.
