Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the educational contents in Islamic jurisprudence related to the prayer of the disables in Islamic jurisprudence.

The researchers followed the inductive and deductive methodology in order to achieve the research aims.

The study came into three sections: First, Islamic rulings related to prayer and the form of disables prayer; Second, rulings related to the disables prayer when sitting down, leading prayer, praying behind an imam; Third, the educational objectives related to the disables prayer in Islamic jurisprudence rulings.

The study has reached several findings, the most important of which are: It is obligatory for the disable to pray as this makes him/her feels that s/he is fully capable and responsible person even when part of his/her body is disable.

It is permissible for the disabled person to perform prayer in the form that is suitable with his/her disability.

This signifies the Islamic principle of ease, compassion and lifting up embarrassment over Muslim worshipers.

The disables can perform prayer collectively as this can help them to connect with other people socially and minimize isolation and introversion.

The disable also can lead the prayer and be as an imam as this will give them the confidence to perform their lives normally in the society and feel that they are integral part of social fabric.

The study recommends to carry out extensive further research on all the Islamic rulings related to the disables and that the Ministry of Religious Affairs should take the responsibility of implementing them when dealing with disable people.
