The research examined the Hanseatic League, which had a clear impact in drawing features of economic developments in Europe in general and the Hansa cities in particular during the historical period that witnessed the establishment of that league, especially as it gradually expanded after many European cities included it and it had trade relations and agreements with several countries.

It entered into competition with other countries to the extent that it compelled it to have military power to preserve its commercial privileges from any external aggression, after it was able to control several outlets for global trade
