Abstract EN

The concepts of developing a no-till (NT) seeder have been studied.

The NT can be used and sustained by small size farms for corn and kenaf or any other crops fields.

Most specific situations discussed.

Factors that affect the NT presentation in seeded fields such as soil moisture content, ground, the purchase costs (the tractor power requirements, the fuel consumption, the amount of required labor and the variable and fixed costs.), pressure, power to weight ratio and the operation speed are also highlighted.

The primary disadvantage of No-till farming is the need for specialized sowing equipment designed to plant seeds into undisturbed soil and crop residues.

In another hand, No-till farming’s advantages protects the soil surface from fastening by rainfall, achieving and keeping an open internal soil structure, enhancing biological processes in the soil, and developing means for safe removal of any surface runoff.
