Abstract EN

University is a guarantee of society support and it is seeking to serve it.

Units with special nature are houses of expertise to serve the community and to achieve the goals and function of university represented in community service and the new mission of the university represented in the entrepreneurial aspect besides to the functions of teaching and scientific research.

These units have done a positive role in solving many problems whether economic or social; lack of resources and financial allocations to advance the scientific and research aspect, which contributes to serving community.

Therefore, the aim of the current study is to identify strategic entrepreneurship as an approach to develop the units with special nature in Assiut University.

The current study has used the descriptive approach, and it has come down to several findings: First; The degree of awareness for research sample from faculty and administrators (n = 147) toward the importance of the dimensions of strategic entrepreneurship came at a very large degree, as the total average of the six dimensions of the questionnaire was (m=4.43) with a percent (88.70%).Second, the dimension "Entrepreneurial leadership" ranked first (m=4.56) and with percent 91.22%, and the dimension" the external environment" came at last rank of (m=4.21) and with percent 84.22%.

A proposal for applying strategic entrepreneurship as an approach to develop the units with special nature in Assiut University.
