Abstract EN

This study focuses on the criterion of intertextuality in Abdul Wahab AlBayati's poetry, and the significance of his poems by using symbols that he functionalized to convey his suffering, as well as the sufferings of his fellow countrymen, from injustice and marginalization.

This idea has been expressed by using this criterion of the heritage character and personal symbols.

This study focused on two types of intertextuality: direct and indirect intertextuality.
