This research deals with the most important Muslim ethics in social media platforms from a Qur'anic perspective.
It aims to explain the most important good morals that a Muslim should adhere to, and the most important bad morals that a Muslim should avoid on social media platforms.
The approach used in this research is the inductive approach.
Among the most prominent results of the research: 1- The presence of good morals is one of the main intentions of the Holy Qur’an.
2- There are good morals that a Muslim must have on social media sites, the most important of which are: discerning God – the Almighty and Majestic, turning a blind eye (to bad things), good expressions, honesty in discourse, verifying news, and avoiding suspicious sites.
3- There are bad manners that a Muslim must avoid on social media, the most prominent of which are: lying, spreading rumors, slander, insulting, abusing and indecency, mockery and ridicule, mistrust and espionage, boldness in advisory opinions and delving into the religion of God without knowledge, blameworthy controversy, and failure to observe the controls of communication between the sexes.
4- Social media platforms are indispensable in our contemporary life; Therefore, this communication must be organized through the good Islamic morals that the Holy Qur’an and the Prophet’s Sunnah commanded us, in order for the goals of this communication to be perfectly achieved, developing a pleasant relationship based on respect and appreciation, and a spirit of brotherhood and harmony to prevail among all.
Among the most prominent recommendations of the research: paying attention to social, reforming and advocacy exegesis, and extracting the guidance of the Holy Qur’an in solving our social, economic, political and other problems in an accessible manner that suits the nation’s youth today.
