The effectiveness of the Edmodo educational platform in developing the skills of the Scratch program for first-grade students




 

The aim of the current research is to develop the skills of the Scratch program and to develop the technological thinking skills of first-grade middle school students by studying the Scratch program unit using the educational platform Edmodo The research was applied to a group consisting of (40) pupils and his pupil in the first grade of preparatory stage at Taha Ajaj Preparatory Joint School.

They were randomly selected.

The pupils were divided into two groups equally (20) students of the control group (20) pupils of the experimental group Where the two groups of research applied the following tools an achievement test to measure knowledge of the Scratch program, a note card to measure, and a note card to measure the skills of the Scratch program The results of the research found that there was a statistically significant difference at the level (0.01) between the mean scores of the control and experimental groups in the post application of the achievement test and the observation card for the performance skills of the scripting language for the benefit of the experimental group.
