التعليل و التفسير عند مفضل بن أبي الفضائل في كتابه "النهج السديد و الدر الفريد فيما بعد تاريخ ابن العميد"

Abstract EN

This dissertation is about "Mufaḍḍal Ibn Abi-l-Faḍā'il" who is one of themost prominent historians in the Mamluk period.

It contains a biography of all the available information about Mufaḍḍal and his personality.

Then, it includes a detailed analytical study of his historical work "al-Nahj al-sadīd wa-l-durru al-farīd fīmā ba'd tārīḫ Ibn al-'Amīd" which helps in having a clear idea about his thoughts, culture, referentiality and historical methodology.

It also serves in knowing the authenticity of the information mentioned in his book through comparing its historical narrations to those of some other contemporary historical sources.

This results in recognizing the value of this historical compilation as an Islamic, historical source of the Mamluk period.

This study is target to "justification and elucidation" discusses the objectives of his book.

Finally comes the conclusion which includes the most important results of the study, followed by the list of the Arabic and foreign sources and the references which the researcher used in this thesis.
