Abstract EN

This research deals with the cultural construction of the Maqamat of Badi 'al-Zaman al-Hamdhani, and seeks to read the text of the maqamat a cultural reading, and tries to place the text within the cultural context in which it originated, to understand it, analyze its structure, and arrive at its character, based on some methodological steps derived from the cultural curriculum.

The shrines of Badi al-Zaman al-Hamdhani represent a part of our authentic Arab heritage, which was crystallized in the second half of the fourth century AH, and it hoarded a rich cultural stock, monitored a cultural context, and transformed temporal variables, and it was an expression of understanding and awareness of the cultural variables of that time.

Between its cultural context and its spatial and temporal conditions, as the general framework obligated Badi al-Zaman al-Hamdhani to build his speech a cultural construct according to mechanisms that fit this context.

Hamdhani was able to read the cultural context, reveal its mysteries, and define its features in a special literary form.

The linguistic structure, and the coherent structure in general, was necessitated by a linguistic context characterized by scientific and cultural development, as well as the maqamat specialized in providing great pictures of various aspects of social, political and religious life.
