Abstract EN

This research work is part of a study of the phenomenon of violence practiced against ascendants in Algerian society, and it was carried out in the house of the elderly of the wilayats of Guelma and El-Tarf, where the researcher attempted to answer the following questions: What are the manifestations of violence against ascendants? What are the factors that cause children to taunt their parents in the opinion of parents? What are the family relationships of the group of parents who are victims of violence? What is the socio-economic situation of parents who are victims of violence? An intentional sample was chosen consisting of (08) fathers, who experienced violence from their children, and the interview form was the main data collection tool, and the researcher used the approach descriptive and analytical method, and used the Statistical Package for Social Sciences program in its 22nd edition.

The results showed that there are social, psychological and economic factors that cause the phenomenon to spread, and this in addition to other points that we will address in the content of the research document.
