لقد استجابت "السينما الجزائرية"، لنداء جبهة التحرير الوطني، ومواكبة مسيرتها التحررية، لتغدو من بين الوسائل الإعلامية، التي اعتمدت عليها قيادة الثورة؛ لمواصلة الكفاح إلى تحقيق النصر.
لقد ولدت السينما الجزائرية في ظروف حرب ضروس بين قوتين غير متكافئتين، لكن رغم ذلك استطاعت أن تثبت وجودها من خلال مختلف الأعمال السينمائية الوثائقية التي قدمتها منذ سنة 1957 و إلى غاية الاستقلال سنة 1962، محققة بذلك نقلة نوعية في إنتاجاتها، من خلال تصويرها للوقائع و الانتصارات، التي حققها "جيش التحرير الوطني"، في ساحة القتال، على الصعيد الدبلوماسي، و كذلك، إبراز التفاف الشعب الجزائري حول الثورة، و ابراز الوجه الآخر لفرنسا الاستعمارية
Abstract EN
Conscious of the importance of the image and the audio-visual in the action of sensibilization and mobilization of the people for the recovery of its national sovereignty; and colonial counter-propaganda, the political leadership of the Algerian revolution, was soon to invest in this area.
Thus, and at the heart of the war of liberation, Algerian cinema debuted to promote the image of a people fighting for its emancipation and independence, through a series of films produced between 1957 and 1962 to draw the attention of international public opinion to the legitimacy of their fight
