Abstract EN

The importance of the Algerian National Library in the service of culture and science requires keeping pace with the information age by relying on ICTs to activate its role and facilitate the performance of its tasks.

Attention should also be given to the acquisition of electronic information sources and the provision of digital services.

The study relied on the descriptive approach using tools such as observation, in order to identify the capabilities of the library and the characteristics of its collections and services to explore the extent of its contribution to a society moving towards becoming an information society.
