Abstract EN

This article argues that language, in the context of sender-receiver interaction, does not always aim at clarification and explanation.

It is, rather, linked to the meaning conveyed by the sender who tends to mystify and blur the meaning in certain speech contexts as to express their own intended meaning through linguistic effort.

This does not mean that the receiver has no impact on the speech, but rather that the condition of the receiver does matter in any type of communication.

This articles highlights the duality of mystification and demystification in language interaction in relation to the positions of both speech parties.
