This article attempts to answer the questions that must be asked are as follows: What, then, is the world's reserve of this precious resource? Will they be exhausted soon? Are there new discoveries of oil sources to meet the increasing global demand? What about the use of technological advances that improve productivity in the oil fields, thus contributing to an increase in global supply? Therefore, the great challenge is that the future of global oil production will depend on a higher level of technology, innovation, large investments and exploration of lands that are currently inaccessible to develop new resources.

This is the great and costly challenge that must be faced in order to meet the needs of the growing global demand for oilOil- Global Demand for oil- Global Supply- New Resources
