: Summary This study aimed to identifyi the relationship between the control center and the motivation for achievement in secondary education students.

The researcher used the control scale of Nowacki and Strickland (1973), the translation of Moussa Abdel-Fattah (1991) and the level of achievement of Cooper Smith (1973), On a sample of (150) pupils 70 boy and 80 girl from three secondary levels are secondary Mohammed Bou Saidi in El Harache, Eldaliya el Jadida and Mohamed Bouabdellah in El kalyptus.

To verify the validity of the hypotheses The results of the study indicated a negative correlation statistically significant between the internal control center and the motivation for achievement and A strong negative correlation statistically significant between the external control center and the motivation for achievement in secondary school pupils.
