Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying the training needs to improve the school principals and their deputy school principals' performance in light of the updates and the challenges of the twentieth first century due to the study variables (directorate, job position, sex, qualification and years of service).

The sample of the study consisted of (227) school principals and their deputy school principals from Gaza governorate.

This current study followed the descriptive approach in which the researchers used a questionnaire to collect data.

The results of the study showed The total degree of training needs gained a relative weight of (64.09%) with an average degree, that the most prominent training needs are the technological needs a relative weight of (66.30%).

Second, the personal skills came in the second rank a relative weight of (65.30%).

Third, the technical skills came in the third rank a relative weight of (64.73%).

Then, the administrative skills came in the fourth rank a relative weight of (62.13%).

Finally, the humanitarian skills came in the last rank a relative weight of (61.85%).

In addition, the results of the study showed that there are no statistically significant differences among school principal and their deputy school principal in the degree of their training needs of personal, technical and humanitarian skills due to directorate, job position, qualification and years of service variables.

In addition, there are statistically significant differences among school principals and their deputy school principals in the degree of their training needs due to sex variable in favor of males.

Besides, there are statistically significant differences among school principals and their deputy school principals in the administrative and technological skills in favor those who have less than five years in the administrative skills due to years of service.

Also, there are statistically significant differences due to years of service in favor of those who have more than ten years of service in the technological skills.
