In this article, the researcher addresses an important topic, the social withdrawal that concerns children with disabilities, as a group most vulnerable to such an act or behavior, because of their disabilities, which limit their interactions and social integration.

This topic was addressed by a brief presentation of some concepts and cognitive frameworks on the phenomenon, accompanied by a brief presentation of some methods used to address the social withdrawal of the handicapped child, according to the socio-psychological approach.

Finally, the role played by both the family and other social education institutions in preventing a handicapped child from being caught up in such irregular behavior was raised, stressing the societal responsibility to prevent this phenomenon, which has many negative effects.
