أسباب ضعف التحصيل في الرياضيات لدى طلبة الصفوف الثلاثة الأولى من وجهة نظر مديري المدارس والمشرفين التربويين في مدينة السلط بالأردن

Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the reasons for the weakness of students in the first three grades in mathematics from the viewpoint of school administrators and educational supervisors in the city of Salt.

The study followed a qualitative approach.

The sample of the study consisted of (15) individuals distributed by (9) principals of basic schools in Al-Salt city in Jordan, and (6) educational supervisors.

The corresponding threshold was used as a data collection tool.

Semi structured interviews were conducted with the participants.

The results showed that there is a similarity between the responses of school principals and educational supervisors due to the weakness of students in the first three grades in mathematics in the fields of factors related to the student himself, family, teacher and others.

While the study members presented a number of suggestions and therapeutic methods to improve academic achievement in mathematics, including: Preparing educational and therapeutic programs and plans for students with low levels of education, prepared and implemented by the specialized teacher and student counselor.

In light of the results of the study, the researcher recommended a number of recommendations.
