Abstract EN

This present study aims to identify the factors leading to the running out of school by secondary schools' students from the perspective of the governmental schools' principals in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate in the light of the following variables: gender, academic achievements, and years of administrative experience.

The study sample consisted of (50) principals, both males and females, out of a larger study population of (122) principals.

Thus the study sample constituted (41%) of the original study population.

The study sample was chosen by random cluster method, and the study depends on the descriptive associative approach.

The results of the study showed that the most prominent factors leading to running out of school by students at secondary schools from the perspective of the study sample are the following according to their importance: the learners' bad companions, the social factor, the school factor, the economic factor, and the political factor; of which the first factor was relatively high, while the last four factors were moderate but with statistical significant differences.

In addition, this present study concluded that there were no statistical significant differences towards the factors leading to running out of school by secondary school students from perspective of the study sample attributed to the gender variable, and the academic achievement.

furthermore, this study showed that there were statistical significant differences between the responses of the study sample on the factors leading to the running out of school by secondary school students according to the the variable of total number of years of administrative service among the three following categories: (less than 5 years), (5-10 years), and (more than 10 years).
