Abstract EN

The study aimed at identifying the requirements degree of the intellectual capital development in the Palestinian universities, and studying the differences significance among the means of the study's sample ratings for the requirements degree of the intellectual capital development according to the study variables (job title, years of service, job place).

The researchers used the Descriptive Analytical Method.

The study's population consisted of all deans, vice deans, and heads of departments in the Islamic University, Al-Azhar University, Al-Aqsa University.

The study's tool was a questionnaire included of (38) statements, and distributed on the study's sample who were (191) academics.

The study shown that the requirements degree of the intellectual capital development in the Palestinian universities was (71.94%) with a large degree, and there are statistically significant differences at (α ≤ 0.05) among the means of the study's sample ratings for the requirements degree of the intellectual capital development in the Palestinian universities due to job title variable for vice dean, and job place variable for the Islamic University.

Furthermore, There are no statistically significant differences at (α ≤ 0.05) among the means of study's sample ratings for the requirements degree of the intellectual capital development in the Palestinian universities due to years of service variable.

Thus, The study recommended that universities should develop the innovation skills of the employees by providing training programs, interest in patents and copyrights, providing financial and moral incentives, and holding international and local partnerships to improve the scientific research.
