Abstract EN

This study aims to investigate the ratings of social studies’ teachers for their possession of the 21st skills in light of the variables of specialty and years of service in Al-karak Educational District.

The sample includes 153 male and female teachers ( 72 male and 81 female teachers) who were teaching during the scholar year 2018/2019 .

The researcher has used the descriptive approach in order to achieve the goal of the study.

A questionnaire of 3 dimensions was developed and it included 11 main skills that embedded 70 sub skills (items).

The reliability and validity of this questionnaire has been verified.

Answering the questions of the study indicates that standard deviations, and Two Way MANOVA were used.

Results of the study indicates that participants' ratings for their possession of the 1st and 3rd dimensions ( learning and creativity ) and ( life in general ) in general and their main and sub skills have been high and their ratings of possession of the 2nd dimension ( information, media and technology ) in general and its main and sub skills are medium.

Results also indicate no statistical significant differences at ( α ≤ 0.05 ) in participants' possession for the three dimensions and the 11 main skills that are attributed to the variables of specialty and years of experience and the interaction between both.

The study recommends the necessity of training the teachers on the 2nd dimension and it's main and sub skills.
