Abstract EN

This study is an attempt to demonstrate the importance of the size of the formal economy in Algeria, the seriousness and disadvantages of the informal economy.

This last type is more prevalent in countries with high rates of unemployment, poverty and gender inequality, whichit plays an important role in generating income for individuals who have a weak education, skills, technology and capital.

This article examines the extent to which decent work is provided to individuals from the case of Algeria.

Therefore, this issue is a great concern for governments and a major challenge for them, it works to mitigate its effects and to try to limit its spread and to transform its institutions into official institutions are subject to the law and declare its works, thus integrating them into the formal economy.
