Abstract EN

This study aimed to introduce cochlear implantation and the most important steps of its procedure, this is theoretically, but from the field point of view, it aimed to count cochlear implants in the interest of the ear, nose and throat of the governorate of Batna from 2014 until 2019 in terms of sex, age and type of injury (congenital, acquired.) The descriptive approach was adopted and the cochlear implants were taken by the Department of the Ear-Nose and Throat in the state of Batna as a community for the study.

We have used multiple tools in the study, namely: - Observation - the interview - Statistical documents and values for each case After conducting our study, we reached the following results: - Persons born with double cognitive deafness from severe to very severe represent the largest percentage of benefiting from cochlear implants in the department of ear, nose and throat in Batna governorate for the year 2014/2019.

The sex that benefited the most from cochlear implants at the Department of the Ear-Nose and Throat in the wilaya of Batna 2014/2019 was in favor of males compared to females.
