Learning disabilities are relatively new subjects in the field of special education, as many researchers and specialists have become interested.

One of the most common types of learning difficulties is dyslexia, and we conducted this study to find out how the Orton-Gillingham-inspired programme contributes to reducing dyslexia in fourth-year primary school pupils .

We relied on the semi-experimental curriculum, where the study sample included a group of fourth-year students (six pupils) selected in a deliberate way, and used a set of tools as follows : Illustrated Intelligence Test, Holiday Text Reading Test, Diagnostic Assessment Questionnaire for Reading Difficulties, Open Reading of The Sweet Bee Revenge Text (from textbook) and we processed the results based on the SPSS statistical analysis package (calculating z value for differences.) The results of the study showed statistically significant differences in dyslexia scores among fourth-year students between tribal and dimension measurement in favor of dimensional measurement, after the application of the orton-Gillingham-inspired program.

This confirmed that the Orton-Gillingham-inspired programme contributes to reducing dyslexia among fourth-year primary school students.
