Abstract EN

The research aims to identify the most important curricula، used in doctoral program at Information and Libraries department/Al-Mustansiriya University، as well as to identify the impact of university theses and dissertations on the subjects taught during the preparatory year for each academic year in order to come up with results that would help to constitute this specialization and provide new ideas to researchers in this field، and open many horizons for specialists in the field.

The research used a descriptive and analytical approach to the curriculum of doctoral stage and the production of doctoral theses during the period (2012-2014)، the main findings of the research are: 1.

The prevailing trend in the selection of theses and theses in this specialization has been in the field of bibliography and intellectual production since 1990.

The need to review the curriculum due to the passage of a long period not to review.2.

Organizing internal workshops related to coordinating the contents of the Courses to prevent repetition or teaching similar subjects
