Abstract EN

The aim of the study is to explore the reality of the information awareness among researchers from the postgraduate students at the University of Zakho، to provide a clear vision of its nature and identify its identity and to study its level in the academic community by identifying its manifestations and skills in the students.

The survey method was used to obtain data and information that determine the skills and manifestations of information Postgraduate students through a questionnaire distributed to all students of graduate students for a master's stage only for lack of a PhD at the university The sample included all the faculties of the university and the percentage was about 85% because all the forms were not analyzed either because they are incomplete، neglected or not retrieved، 70 students were distributed and 60 were retrieved.

The data were analyzed by SPSS.

Study a set of recommendations and proposals that contribute to the development of information awareness in the academic community by activating its components through the achievement of the role of the academic body، students and the academic library.
