The aim of the research is to find out the effect of using a strategy (Express- Plan - Evaluation) on developing critical thinking skills in mathematics for second-graders middle school students.

As to achieve the goal, the experimental approach was used and one of the experimental designs was partially adjusted for two equal groups, and the research was limited to second-graders middle school students in Iraq Al-Samoud basic school for girls for the Baghdad Education Department / Al-Karkh 2 for the first semester of the academic year 2019-2020 and two chapters of the book of mathematics scheduled A test was prepared to measure critical thinking skills.

This test consisted of (30) objective test items of a multiple choice type.

The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (Spss) was used to calculate the equivalence of the scores of the two research groups in the equivalence variables and to analyze the search results.

The results provide a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) between the mean scores of students of the experimental group and the control group in favor of the experimental group in testing the skills of the critic on the control group, as well as the presence of a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) between the mean scores Students of the experimental group in the pre- and post-test in favor of the post-test.

In light of the research results, the researcher recommended some activities, and proposals.
