The current research aims to know the effect of active learning on the achievement of fifth grade primary students in mathematics, by verifying the validity of the following hypothesis: -There is no statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) between the average score of the students of the experimental group that are taught according to active learning and the average score of the students of the control group taught in the traditional way.

The researcher studied the two research groups by himself, and to measure the students 'achievement level, the researcher prepared a post-test achievement consisting of (30) paragraphs of multiple choice, presented to a group of experts and arbitrators, and some paragraphs were deleted and modified, the researcher verified his sincerity after presenting it to a group of The experts and arbitrators extracted its stability, difficulty and discrimination.

At the end of the experiment, the post-test achievement was applied, and the results were statistically treated using the t-test for two independent samples.

The results showed the superiority of the students of the experimental group, which is taught according to active learning, over the students of the control group, which is taught in the traditional way in the achievement test.
