Abstract EN
Present study aimed to reveal the effectiveness of a treatment program through play in the development of social communication skills and improvement of self-concept to help hearing impairments in jordan, the study sample has reached (34) students with hearing impairment enrolled in a school of Al Amal for the Deaf, they have been distributed into two groups: (17) male and female students in the experimental group and (17) male and female in a controlled group.
To achieve the objectives of the study I applied training program which is based on playing, which was prepared by the researcher to the experimental group by (20) training session, after checking the veracity of its content by submitting it to a panel of arbitrators, and the application of two measures: the first measure of Tenissi of self-concept, and the second measure of social communication skills, which has been prepared by the researcher after verification of indications, sincerity and firmness that showed its relevance to achieve the purposes of the study.
The study results showed a statistically significant difference between the average performance of the two groups of the study, on a scale of post social communication skills, and the measure of self-concept depending on the training program, and that the difference was in favor of the experimental group who underwent the training program evidenced by rising arithmetic mean of them about the arithmetic mean of the control group, this means that the training program was with effectiveness in the scale of social communication skills and self-concept scale, and the results showed no statistically significant differences between the average performance of the two study groups on a scale of social communication skills and self-concept dimensional scale depending on the gender.
The study concluded a number of recommendations, the most important is to educate teachers permanently by the most important strategies of modern education approaches which can pivot in the implementation of various programs with children with hearing disabilities, and the need to focus on activities and games in the development of many children's skills, especially social communication skills, because of its impact on all aspects of growth in this category of children.
