The current research aims to: - Measurement of visual perception among kindergarten children.
- Measurement of spatial intelligence in kindergarten children.
- Detection of the strength and direction of the relationship between the visual perception and spatial intelligence of the kindergarten child.
The research was carried out on the children of Kindergarten in the preparatory stage age of (5-6) years of males and females and for the academic year (2017/2018), in the public kindergartens belonging to the Directorate of Education Rusafa I, the sample of the study consist of (200) children (male- female), Of the visual perception test in the Kindergarten child, where the researcher has built it, and the test consists of (39) colored pictures divided into four components, which are as follows (collection parts of images, and the discovery of errors and inaccuracies in the images, and recognize the similarity between images and shapes recognize the difference between images and shapes, the researcher has got the psychometric properties of the test spatial intelligence prepared by (Al-Khazraji, 2012), which consists of (16) item divided into five components (color vision, shape and body, characteristic, spatial depth, relations).
The test was applied on a sample of 200 children.
The consistency of the test was obtained by test- retest method and internal consistency using the alfa cronbach equation (0.85).
To analyze the data, the (t-test) was used for one sample The ( t-test) of two independent samples, the Spearman Brown equation, and a Pearson correlation coefficient Pearson, and the research reached the following results: 1.
Kindergarten children have a good level of visual perception.2.
Kindergarten children have a good level of spatial intelligence.3.
There is a positive correlation between visual perception and spatial intelligence, the higher the spatial IQ of a child, the greater his ability to visual perception.
