Abstract EN

Through this research we present a topic related to two variables of great importance in contemporary societies in general, and in the Algerian society in particular, namely the neighborhood committee associations that are the most important institutions of civil society at the local level, and the second variable local development, which has become a necessity and a major goal for any country.

In this study, we tried to study and present the role that these societies play in embodying local development in the willaya of “Boumerdas”, using the questionnaire tools to take different opinions and suggestions of the local community about the role played by neighborhood committees, and provide the most important requirements and suggestions to activate this role.
