Recently, the world has witnessed widespread environmental issues due to economic development, which is based primarily on the industry; this led many countries to adopt the sustainable development concept in their development policies.
Sustainable development is the development that takes into consideration environmental protection in social and economic development.
It is based on several principles, mainly the precautionary principle.
This paper sheds light on the role of the precautionary principle in achieving sustainable development.

Récemment, le monde a connu large expansion des problèmes environnementaux en raison du développement économique, qui repose principalement sur l'industrie; cela a conduit de nombreux pays à adopter le concept de développement durable dans leurs politiques.
C'est le développement qui prend en considération la protection de l'environnement dans le développement social et économique; qui est basé sur plusieurs principes, notamment le principe de précaution.
Cet article met en lumière le rôle du principe de précaution dans la réalisation du développement durable.
