the range of opportunities available to them must also be expanded – through economies that generate decent work and encourage entrepreneurship, and political environment that encourage freedom of expression and active participation, and social systems that promote equality and work against all types of discrimination.

And in this article entitled: youth and human development in Arab countries, we concluded that this group is still suffering from difficult problems, the most important of which is the threat of poverty, economic stagnation, political and social exclusion, and lack of access to good training.

This will only be achieved by adopting the internationally agreed model in approach to youth issues, which is based on considering youth as a facing their own challenges, and on targeting youth as human resources, in the context of an integrated agenda for formulating and implementing policies related to them.
